We have 23 beautiful stores across the UK, and are proud to have been selling amazing Hi-Fi and audio-visual systems for over 50 years and as of the 30th June 2024, we are proudly owned and controlled by an Employee-Owned Trust (EOT) which acts for and on behalf of our employees. This means that after a period of 1 year, every employee of Sevenoaks has a real stake in our business as we continue to grow. In addition to our website, and store-lead telesales team Sevenoaks offers a dedicated "Design & Installation service" specialising in creating bespoke home entertainment systems. Store Manager Roles

As Store Manager you are responsible for the overall day to day running of your store, managing and mentoring your team, liaising with Head Office, and ensuring our customers always receive the great service they have come to expect when they shop with us.

Ideally you will have several years of retail experience in consumer electronics, however we will always consider applications from candidates with a more general, commercial and customer focused retail background. We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate a high level of autonomy but at the same time know when to request advice and support.

Managing one of our stores requires a considered approach to every aspect of the business, including following company policy, and delivering profitable results annually, based on clear, achievable targets. Our expectations for the wider business are to grow considerably, and you will be instrumental in helping us to achieve this.

Full technical and product training will be given, along with close support from the start to ensure you succeed.

Assistant Manager Roles

As Assistant Store Manager you will deputise for the Store Manager, ensuring the store is always clean, tidy, and fully ready to fulfil our customers’ requirements. You will oversee and manage customer demonstrations, advise customers on purchases, assist with stock control, deliveries, and banking, and ensure customer orders are efficiently and correctly processed. You will be expected to work with our installation teams to effectively manage customer projects and ensure a consistently excellent level of service.

You will have a strong focus on store presentation, working with your colleagues to guarantee the store is clean and tidy, and beautifully merchandised.

You will assist customers with repairs and ensure email and telephone enquiries are answered in an accurate and timely fashion. Working with the Store Manager you will assist them to follow company policy, delivering profitable results annually, based on clear, achievable targets.

Some retail experience in consumer electronics is desirable, however we will consider applications from candidates with a more general, commercial, and client-driven retail background. Senior Sales Consultant Roles

We are looking for individuals who are confident, passionate about music, movies and technology, and who can offer superb service to our customers. Your job is to assist our customers, taking them on a journey to ensure they get the perfect products, always ensuring they feel they have been shown the various options, and been given the right advice. Your day-to-day tasks will vary, one day you might be setting up a beautiful Hi-Fi for a product demonstration, another setting up a fantastic new state of the art TV on the shopfloor or working on a full project quote for a client.

You will be instrumental in helping achieve targets, keeping the store displays looking fresh and clean, and ensuring our high standards are always upheld. You will be involved in all aspects of order administration, including ordering stock from our suppliers, keeping customers informed about the status of their orders, and following up with existing clients to see how they are getting on with their new purchase. Saturday Sales Consultant Roles

We are looking for people with the passion to work as part of a team in a friendly, interesting environment. We have part time employees from a wide variety of backgrounds and positions; maybe you are looking for your first job, maybe you are looking to get into this fantastic industry but cannot commit to full time work currently, either way we want to hear from you.

The ideal candidate will have the flexibility to work extra hours during the week if required, especially when we come into the busier season around November and December. An interest in what we do would be preferred as you will be customer facing, but you will also have an experienced team around you with a vast knowledge, ready to support you and train you along the way. Head Office Roles

eCommerce Customer Service Representative

Reporting to the Head of eCommerce, your role is to assist and support the eCommerce department with customer support enquiries (email and telephone). You will be part of a team which is responsible for handling incoming customer queries and achieving an exceptional level of customer support. This role offers a dynamic environment where you will learn from our existing eCommerce team to solve real problems in real time. If you have a wonderful way with people and want to work in a successful, market leading retail business, this is the opportunity for you.

Key tasks:

  1. To assist with customer enquiries via email and telephone
  2. To assist with the processing of customer orders placed online, deal with tracking queries, and answer Amazon messages
  3. To assist with returns, including customer repairs and supplier returns
  4. To assist with the processing of customer orders and work with the management team to monitor stock accordingly
  5. To carry out accurate administration of the fraud management process

Location and hours of work

Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.30pm based at Head Office (Sevenoaks, Kent), however, travel to other locations may be required.
